Popcaan Drops 2 Collabs Wid Beres Hammond & Nigerian Singer Bella Shmurda

In aneda dynamic duet, Reggae/Dancehall artistes Beres Hammond and Popcaan have come togedda yet again to release a touching tribute dedicated to dem madda dem inna di single, “A Mother’s Love” dat premiered August 27.

Di entertainers surprised music lovers earlier dis year wen dem team up pon di single God Is Love.

Di unlikely pairing saw artists of two generations, almost three decades apart, and from different subgenres coming togedda fi di first time. Di move did prompt fans fi push fi a subsequent music video and Popcaan’s mother, Miss Rhona fi enlist di track among di ‘three songs fit fi har ears’ dat were recorded by her son.

Now Popcaan has undeniably complemented Miss Rhona’s playlist once again wid a fourth song in him latest collaboration wid Hammond on, A Mother’s Love.

Produced by Shane Brown Music in association wid Harmony House and Unruly Entertainment, di song is a trip down memory lane weh di two man dem reminisce about dem life growing up as yutes. Blessed wid strong independent mothers, Popcaan and Beres were raised to be resilient and were never ‘left by di way side’, though times were hard.

This beautiful little lady creating miracles out of nothing, relentless, that she is. The real beauty about her is, she does it with a smile. Turns trash into treasure, sorrow into pleasure,” Beres croons inna di verse dem.

Di Prof and Kryss Ras-directed music video displayed vivid imageries of such fi bring di narrative of di song alive. Side by side, their journeys begin di same – one going all di back to 1970 when Beres was a yute of about 10 years old, and di other ahead in 1998 fi si Popcaan at di same age.
