This week, the Korner is being flavoured by the vibrant Alicia Cinnamon. Toronto’s breakout star for 2018, singer, songwriter and passionate community activist, Alicia Cinnamon breaks down barriers wherever she goes, writing and performing classic R&B, reggae and neo-soul.
Alicia’s sound is polished, authentic and bass heavy. Her willingness to explore and blend different styles is her signature strength. Alicia Cinnamon’s fan base is catching fire in Canada and in the United States where she performs regularly. In 2015 she founded Northern Queenz, a co-operative of female artistes from Toronto working together to create positive change through music and community activism.
Her single “Liar’s Game” was nominated as R&B single of the year at the 2017 CUT Awards. Her debut album “Queen of the North” featuring Ifone (Liar’s Game Pt 2) is out now.
