Lebron James’ Springhill Entertainment Sells Film to Paramount
Many imagined with his relocation to Los Angeles, LeBron James would be able to do more in the field of entertainment having already done some ventures during his tenure in Cleveland. Variety reports King James has a sold a new film to Paramount Players and has the possibility to star in the film.
Partner Steve Mallory and LeBron’s SpringHill Entertainment developed the film for months, with Mallory serving as the scriptwriter. James would have the role of producer alongside his partner in the company Maverick Carter.
LeBron has touched the big screen before, appearing as himself alongside Amy Schemer in the comedy Trainwreck. This currently untitled comedy would be the second silver screen appearance for LeBron James in his career.
LeBron’s company has also recently sold a project named Hustle to Legendary Entertainment that will also feature the basketball legend as producer and making him a member of the Producers Guild. Additional producer roles for King James will be a remake of the classic House Party and executive producer for the Octavia Spencer starring Netflix series On Her Own Ground.
According to Uproxx, LeBron James will produce and may even star in a untitled comedy film that was just sold to Paramount from his entertainment company SpringHill.
