THE UIC INNOVATIVELY CONNECTING TO THE HEARTS OF THE GRASSROOTS PEOPLE OF JAMAICA

The United Independent Congress (UIC) is innovatively connecting to the heart of the grassroots people of Jamaica on the ground and via Social Media. The UIC movement has rekindle the fire in the hearts of many Jamaican people at home and abroad!

Since his arrest and the obstruction of the peaceful “March On Jamaican Parliament Protest” by the Jamaican police force on September 22, The UIC President, Mr. Joseph Patterson has been thrust in front of Jamaicans and is rapidly gaining popularity as the attention of the Jamaican people shift focus to him and the movement he initiated just little under 10 years ago. While this was not the first march of the UIC, this was the one that really turn on the floodlights for Mr. Patterson and the UIC movement.

Due to a lack of media coverage by local media houses, the UIC has been unknown to most Jamaicans even though it has been around for almost a decade but as the saying goes, “Nothing can stop an idea whose time has come”, and the United Independent Congress is one of such great and historical ideas. The time has indeed come for a change in Jamaica and the idea for that change is glowing like the moon in a light bulb, in the UIC Election Manifesto!

A quick glance at the preamble and clarity greets you, complimenting with logics and common sense. The Statement of Principles stirs a revolutionary ancestral fire with the brave and bold statement, “We, the members of the United Independents’ Congress, hereby challenge the moral authority of the omnipotent state and defend the inherent rights of every individual to be free.”

Their outline of how a future Jamaica, make you want to go deep within and thank the Divine Spirit of the Ancestors for rising up one from amongst the grassroots of us to finally reunite a scattered and fragmented people in a mighty attempt to reclaim our freedom from a wicked and unjust system of oppression meted out to our people by the current government who has gone unchecked even by the so-called opposition party who apparently are in-line with the current government’s agenda. Mr. Patterson’s call for unity to bring about a new Jamaica, is getting overwhelmingly good responses as the UIC connect with Jamaicans at home and in the diaspora via multiple social media platforms, giving dawn to a new era on the horizon for Jamaica. There is clear indication that the UIC can only get stronger as more and more people come to know about the movement and see with transparency what it is all about.

The warm reception from the masses and the wonderment of this new third party in Jamaica is a welcoming sign that the impossible is becoming possible with the shift in consciousness of the Jamaican people from all walks of life.

Shifty media houses who refused to give the UIC a platform to reach the people but instead show bias with subtle twisted deceptive narratives, still could not stop the UIC from connecting with its people; maybe in years pass but not in 2021 when everyone is online.

The UIC’s President has connected with the Jamaican people like no other politician ever did. He answers questions directly and to the point, giving relevant information to back up each point. Mr. Patterson demonstrates that he is not afraid to answer direct questions with direct answers, elaborating with sufficient pointers to get the message across and for the people to easily understand. No fancy words and twisted repetitive jargons but instead he gives straight-forward answers with clarity. This is evident in the videos streamed on the UIC Liberty TV and Unstoppable TV YouTube channels among others including Facebook and Instagram, where there are various livestreams in which the UIC President and VP, Devon Thompson are engaging the Jamaican people, local and in the diaspora as shown in the video below.

Just recently, September 29 in fact, Mr. Patterson was interview by popular YouTube Influencer Jamaican Carlos which was streamed live across multiple platforms and in a short time has garnered over 3,600 views. See video below:

It’s clear for all who wish to see, that the president of the UIC is a man on a mission to free the people of Jamaica and bring about real change. The UIC is a lifeboat to freedom; Jamaicans need to hang on for dear life!
