VIDEO: Vybing on The Korner with TeePolo
On a regular, The Korner features young and emerging artistes doing their thing. FAIM shines the spotlight on artistes with an active FAIM profile for the week in which they are featured. This week, the Korner is being energized by the consciousness of TeePolo!
Born and raised in Manchester Jamaica, Kenya Grant, popularly known as TeePolo has been singing since her teenage years under the stage name Rhymy Spice. In 2007, at the young age of 15, she recorded her first single “Bun Out Iniquity” at the Diamond Cut recording studio in Mandeville.
The artiste released the single “Fake Friends” in 2008 and then went on a self-imposed hiatus. Fast-forward to 2019 and she’s back, with a new stage name and even more conscious with her message music! TeePolo had migrated to Canada in 2015 and in December 2018 she wrote and recorded her first official single “You Got To Go” which gained lots of social media attention. This led to her song winning a radio competition in Sweden called “Burst Hour” where her track got one month of air play as part of winning first place. Check out her bio here
