Anne-Marie Recruits Ed Sheeran For An Acoustic Version Of ‘2002
Breakthrough musician Anne-Marie surprised fans with an acoustic cover of her hit song “2002”, complete with a very special guest. “2002” co-writer and longtime friend Ed Sheeran joined the 27-year-old for a laid-back performance of her latest single.
Throughout the video, Sheeran and Anne-Marie giggle and smile while singing in perfect harmony.
“It feels good singing our song, together! Although I think he sings it better!😁,” the caption read.
“2002” appears on Anne-Marie’s debut album, “Speak Your Mind”, which was released back in April.
Anne-Marie and Sheeran, along with Steve Mac, Julia Michaels and Benjamin Levin, helped co-write infectious pop track.
The song’s credits also include a handful of fan favourite hits from the ’90s and early 2000s, as the track includes a number of lyrical interpolations. Britney Spears’ “…Baby One More Time,” Jay-Z’s “99 Problems,” NSync’s “Bye Bye Bye,” and Nelly’s “Ride Wit Me” are all credited in the track.
